WESTBRAE NATURAL® INTRODUCES A NEW LOOK FOR
UNIONDALE, NEW YORK (October 8, 2001) -- Westbrae Natural®, a leading brand of canned beans and soups in natural foods, is introducing a whole new look for the brand at Natural Products Expo East in Washington, D.C. This new look will reinforce the brand's strong vegetarian positioning. Westbrae Natural will be unveiling new package design for its Organic Beans (11 skus), Ready To Eat Soups (9 skus) and Semi-Condensed Soups (3 skus).
The new Westbrae Natural look will maintain the equity and history of the current Westbrae brand while incorporating a field illustration to enforce the natural equity. The eye catching package design will strengthen appetite appeal, communicate a more premium image and further support the vegetarian positioning. In addition, the packaging clearly identifies product benefits and contains new recipes to assist consumers in creating delicious and nutritious vegetarian meals.
Westbrae Natural is the only brand to feature the Vegetarian Diet Pyramid on product labels. The Vegetarian Diet Pyramid is a consumer-friendly tool to help consumers learn how to transition to a vegetarian diet.
Watch for the new packaging to begin hitting store shelves 11/15/01. All Westbrae Natural products will convert to the new package design throughout the year. Westbrae Natural offers a wide variety of natural vegetarian foods including beans, soups, vegetables, pastas, condiments, cookies and Japanese products.
